Find and understand files
Ask your AI to look through an allowed folder, find what matters, or explain how something works.
Arc connects ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Codex to the folders you choose on your Mac. Let them explore files, make changes and run checks when you allow it — and see what they're doing without leaving your usual AI chat.

Keep the AI you already like. Arc gives it useful ways to work with your projects, while you decide which folders it can access and what it's allowed to do.
Ask your AI to look through an allowed folder, find what matters, or explain how something works.
When you turn on editing, let your AI update project files instead of only telling you what to type.
Let an AI run tests or other tasks you've approved, then see whether the work passed.
Follow file changes and tool activity from your Mac, so you're not guessing what your AI did.
Open the conversation behind the work with a click, instead of hunting through tabs.
Put different AIs in a room, hand work between them, and see when something needs attention.
You decide what's allowed. Start by letting an AI view your files. Turn on editing or other tasks only when you're ready.

You don't need to set up a server or learn command-line tools to install Arc. Pick what your AI can work on, connect it, and start with something small.
See the full setup guidePick a project folder on your Mac. New folders start with viewing access only, so your AI can't change them yet.
Choose a supported ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Codex connection and follow the steps Arc shows you.
Ask it to find a file or explain a project. Enable editing or selected tasks only when you want to give it more to do.
Connecting an AI to your Mac should never feel like a mystery. Here's what Arc can see, what your AI can access, and what Orqara handles.
The short version: you choose which folders an AI can access. Arc doesn't collect your chat history, and we don't sell your data.
Arc does not collect or save copies of your full chat history. Its optional browser helper uses limited details, such as the conversation link, tab title and page status, to find the right chat and support features you've chosen. It does not send your chat contents to Orqara's servers.
No. Adding Arc doesn't upload your folders or projects to Orqara. You choose which folders an AI can use. When you ask an AI to read a file, that requested content can be sent to the AI provider so it can help you. The provider's own privacy rules still apply.
Not in a newly added folder by default. Folders start Read Only. You can choose to allow editing or specific tasks for a folder you trust. Those permissions matter: once you allow changes, an AI can make mistakes, so use the smallest access you need.
For an Orqara-managed connection, requests and replies travel through our connection service so your chosen AI can reach your Mac. We use encrypted connections. Those requests aren't kept as a running history of your work. We do keep the account, device, connection and security details needed to operate the service.
No. Orqara doesn't sell your personal data or use its website for behavioural advertising. Your AI provider and sign-in service have their own privacy policies.
No development tools or separate API key are needed for a normal Arc installation. Install the app, sign in, choose a folder and connect your AI. Some provider features depend on your AI account, plan or region.
With a supported remote connection and your Mac online, you can use Arc's tools through compatible AI apps, including from your phone. Your Mac still checks the folder permissions you've chosen.
Yes. You can disconnect providers, revoke supported connections and remove folders from Arc. You're in charge of what stays connected.
